SMPTE Fellow

The Fellow Grade of membership is awarded to individuals who have, by proficiency and contributions, attained an outstanding rank among engineers or executives in the motion-picture, television, or related industries.

In his current role as Director, Advanced Content Production for NBC Universal, Chris is responsible for leading the development of UHD High Dynamic Range(HDR) and Wide Color Gamut(WCG) “single-master” production systems, workflows and conversion standards. This has been a seven year effort during multiple events including the Olympics and live-linear sports productions. Prior to that, Chris designed broadcast non-linear editing workflows from ingest, edit, transcode, and digital delivery, Media Asset Management. Earlier in his career, he did collaborative post production workflow design for Saturday Night Live, SyFy/USA Cable Networks Promo Dept, The Jimmy Fallon Show, Tonight Show/Conan O'Brien, Tonight Show/Jay Leno, and Soundminer/MusicMiner media asset management system. Chris has also served as Mixer, Editor, Technologist for Saturday Night Live, Late Night with Conan O'Brien, Network Advertising and Promotion, and Dateline.
