Speaker Bio
Graham Marshall is a Preservation Manager at the Paramount Pictures Archive in Los Angeles. While pursuing an MLIS degree in UCLA’s Graduate School of Education & Information Studies, he interned for the AMPAS’s Sci-Tech Council and developed a passion for media technology, specifically the standardization of playback equipment. A particular example that inspired this fascination was a Blu-Ray release of David Lynch’s Eraserhead that included a feature that allowed a consumer to calibrate their television’s image settings to conform to the director’s ideal viewing experience. After graduating from UCLA in 2018 and completing an internship at the Paramount Archive, he started working for the Archive as a full-time Digital Asset Technician. In 2022, he transferred to the Preservation Team to work on restoring catalogue titles.
