Jill Boyce is Distinguished Scientist at Nokia Technologies. She was formerly CEO of Vimmerse, Chief Media Architect and Fellow at Intel, Director of Algorithms at Vidyo, and VP Research & Innovation at Technicolor. She is an IEEE Fellow, recognized in 2019 for contributions to video coding. She is a longtime contributor to video coding standardization, including MPEG-2, H.264/AVC, HEVC, and VVC. She is an editor of the Versatile Supplemental Enhancement Information (VSEI) standard. From 2014 to 2021, she was Associate Rapporteur of ITU-T Study Group 16 Question 16, one of the two JVET parent bodies. She has an MSE in Electrical Engineering from Princeton University and a BS in Electrical Engineering from University of Kansas.
