Honoree Bio
Erik Reinhard works at InterDigital since June 2019. His current interests are around reducing the energy cost of media systems. He was founder and editor-in-chief of ACM Transactions on Applied Perception, and authored several books on topics including high dynamic range imaging and color imaging. His academic presence involves co-authoring more than 100 scientific papers, membership of more than 50 program committees, co-chairing of 6 conferences and workshops, and delivering 6 key-notes. In standardization he is co-chair of the ITU-R rapporteur group on energy aware broadcasting and the DVB working group on energy efficiency. He is recognized as contributor to the Emmy-award winning standard on high dynamic range imaging, ITU-R BT.2100.
