Stephen Simo is a System Consultant at Riedel Communications Inc., proudly performing a pre-sales engineering role in the Americas Customer Success organization. He has been working in the broadcast industry for over 16 years, including stays at Miranda Technologies Inc. and Grass Valley LLC, with responsibilities in managing complex program deployments and sales engineering proposals for major broadcasters, OB trucks, television stations, and service providers around the globe. He has successfully overcome major challenges of implementing disruptive new SDI, SMPTE-2110, and cloud based technology solutions to enhance all “end to end” facets of A/V broadcast operations. This has encompassed live video production, media asset management, playout, intercom, and monitoring workflows. In addition to his tour in broadcast, he spent a fascinating period of 6 years in aerospace at CAE Inc. performing project engineering of prototype military flight simulators. And before this, he spent a formative 8 years in telecom at Nortel Networks Inc., where he was responsible for system engineering testing and field deployment of digital multiplex telephone switching and core optical network transport solutions. Stephen has a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from McGill University, and a Project Management Professional (PMP) certification from PMI Inc.
