Description
This paper presents the integration of SMPTE ST 2110 into a large-scale In-Camera Visual Effects (ICVFX) workflow to achieve synchronized, high-resolution, low-latency video playback across a multi-node render environment. By leveraging open standards for IP-based media transport, we demonstrate a production-proven approach that supports greater than 8K resolution at 24 frames per second across 15 concurrent systems which include 11 synchronized render nodes. The use of ST 2110 enables robust timing precision and media synchronization beyond traditional solutions such as NDI or genlock-based frame grabber systems.
