Description

This paper presents a technical overview of the evolving landscape of 3D scene representation and rendering, with a focus on its implications for photorealistic content generation in broadcast and immersive media workflows. We explore the shift from traditional mesh-based rasterization, which is fast but relies heavily on explicit geometry and manual asset creation, to data-driven neural rendering that provides better fidelity and automation such as Neural Radiance Fields (NeRFs) and Gaussian splats.
