To enhance video-on-demand (VOD) user experience, personalized content summarization techniques that assist viewers in resuming playback after interruptions are proposed. Our work addresses a common challenge in modern streaming behavior: viewers often pause or abandon the viewing of a movie or a series and return later with a diminished recollection of prior events in these movies or series, resulting in a fragmented and less satisfying experience. To mitigate this issue, we investigate adaptive summarization strategies that take into account individual user profiles, including viewing history, interaction patterns, and the time elapsed since the last viewing session.
