In an era of deepfakes and rising misinformation, verifying the authenticity of digital video content is becoming essential for media organizations. This presentation introduces a standards-based implementation of the Coalition for Content Provenance and Authenticity (C2PA) specification, specifically applied to fragmented MP4 (fMP4) streaming workflows. The approach demonstrates how C2PA manifests can be embedded into fMP4 video assets to enable tamper-evident verification during real-time playback. The session will cover real-world trade-offs such as when to leverage short-lived vs container based approaches, and securely storing manifests and certificates.
