Steve Levy Job Title: 1st Engineer – Post Production Creative Services Company: Warner Bros. Studio Facilities Speaker Bio: Steve has been a key part of the Warner Bros. Sound & Projection team for 11 years. As an active member of AMPAS on the Theater Standards Committee and SMPTE, he is happy to share knowledge with fellow industry professionals. He started his career in 1979 and has worked for LOEW’S Theatres, United Artists Theater Circuit, Sony Cinema Products, Barco Digital Cinema and NT Audio before coming to Warner Bros. To say that Steve has a deep understanding of theater sound and projection is an understatement! Steve has a keen understanding of not only current digital formats but all of their analog predecessors and is equally at home handling film as he is with digital. In his time at Warner Bros. he has distinguished himself by working with key filmmakers. In fact, Steve developed a key workflow that continues to find use on projects, allowing seamless transition for work in progress between digital and film projection formats. He also continues to provide support for several key filmmakers’ personal screening facilities. Steve is well versed in both room design, room tuning and BSS BLU design and has provided those services for many of the rooms on the WB lot. Steve’s most important quality is his professional approach and ability to work at a high level with filmmakers and their teams. Steve has been a key contributor in these areas for many years and is often requested because of his exceptional work ethic.
