Description

Whatever aspect of audio you’re involved in, from sound for picture to music production or live sound, today’s production tools afford us nearly infinite options.

But the same technology that is supposed to make our work easier can make it harder to complete. A plethora of tools and workflows for similar tasks are available, offering multiple options-and we can be paralyzed by analyzing which to use to solve the task at hand. The one the respected producer, mixer or sound designer used to create something famous? Or the one that gets the best reviews in your favorite forum…..or one you just recently got because it was recommended by a colleague? A recent promo deal……?

Often, we get sucked down rabbit holes of minutiae, and we lose sight of the big picture. Does this sound familiar? You have been trapped by the Paralysis of Analysis…..

In this presentation by the Audio Engineering Society, a panel of four industry experts will talk about ways to stop getting caught up in the process and remember the Art and why we came in the first place.
