Description

When people think about digital cinema they think about components, not the integration between them. Cinema systems are built to drop into standard rooms, and the automation that makes the standard install easy is exactly what makes a non-standard one hard. This session covers how we integrate black boxes in ways they weren’t designed to go together - supporting a wide range of formats in a single room through signal duplication, modular routing and scripted control - and how we troubleshoot inside systems that strip out the basic network tools engineers rely on. It goes further than the rack: designing and building physical systems in the rooms to add further format flexibility.  The goal throughout is maximum functionality for the business with the simplest possible result for operations.
