Adde Granberg is a senior media and technology executive with more than 15 years of leadership experience at SVT, Sweden’s national public service broadcaster. He has served as CTO and Technical Director, with responsibility spanning production, distribution, digital infrastructure, and large-scale transformation across one of the Nordic region’s leading media organisations.
During his time at SVT, Adde has led major operational and strategic areas, including technology, production, innovation, and organisational development. As former Head of Production, he was responsible for a nationwide unit of approximately 480 employees and a turnover of around SEK 450 million. In later executive roles, he has led large teams, significant budgets, and complex transformation initiatives across both linear broadcast and online services.
His work has focused on modernising media production and distribution, improving efficiency, strengthening digital capabilities, and creating greater value for audiences and internal users. He has been a strong advocate for user-centric innovation, scalable production models, metadata-driven workflows, cloud and IP-based infrastructure, and the shift from traditional broadcast thinking toward more flexible and sustainable ways of working.
Adde’s leadership is characterised by clarity, trust, mandate, and a strong belief in people’s ability to grow. He combines strategic direction with hands-on understanding of technology and operations, and is motivated by helping organisations move from complexity to practical, future-oriented solutions.
He has been responsible for, or played leading roles in, several major productions and technology projects, including the FIS Alpine World Ski Championships in Åre 2019, one of the world’s largest remote productions, the World Championships in Falun 2015, Vasaloppet, the FIFA World Cup in Rio 2014, and the London 2012 Olympics. He has also contributed to the development of modern outside broadcast capabilities and new production workflows.
Today, his focus is on innovation, transformation, and the future of media technology, including AI, 5G, cloud production, IP workflows, edge computing, and new models for public service media in a rapidly changing market.
