Speaker Bio
Yige (Eagle) Tong is a researcher in the Tsukada Laboratory at the Graduate School of Information Science and Technology, the University of
Tokyo, and received the M.S. in Creative Informatics from the same school in 2026. Eagle's research addresses viewer safety in streaming video, in particular protection for photosensitive audiences: carrying machine-readable hazard metadata with the stream so that any playback
device can mitigate locally, under viewer preferences, without altering the master. Related work on wide-color-gamut hazard detection appeared at IEEE ICCE-Berlin 2026. At the Media Technology Summit, Eagle presents a time-ranged safety-metadata schema and the measurements behind it, developed with Ye Tao and Manabu Tsukada.
