Following a brief Conference welcome address, we'll dive into using emerging forms of media is a powerful tool for exploring new boundaries within entertainment, the arts, and architecture. In emerging media practices, the design and aesthetics of the digital experience are becoming paramount, and collaborations between engineers and designers are highly encouraged. In addition, advances in technology and engineering are significantly enabling the creation, expansion, and diversification of creative and artistic practices. These advances in computing and new engineering techniques can greatly enhance the public's engagement when applied to creative disciplines. However, they can also have an impact on the users in unexpected ways and incur ethical issues.

This talk will focus on multiple immersive experiences and interactive environments and their ideation and production pipelines. These pipelines rely on a variety of emerging computational media tools such as real-time graphics, computer vision, machine learning algorithms, or new XR tools. In parallel, the presentation will also highlight possible ethical incursions that can take place when using new technologies in creative practices, to enhance further awareness and discussions about these topics and aiming to contribute to more ethical frameworks in the technological arts.
