Honoree Bio
With 25 years of experience in the media & entertainment space, Mike Radford is a seasoned technology executive with a broad set of skills ranging from digital media, color science & compression to software development, networking & cloud architecture. At Disney, he is responsible for all software systems that power Disney’s global theatrical distribution business. He also works with emerging tech as well as the standardization of technologies that drive Disney’s content supply chain. He works closely with post-production teams across Disney’s diverse studio landscape to bridge the gap between creatives and the theatrical experience. Prior to Disney, Mike was the Vice President of Technology at 20th Century Fox. He has participated in SMPTE & ISDCF throughout the development of Digital Cinema, and has represented his studio on the DCI Technical Committee for over a decade. Mike received a Bachelor of Science degree in Physics from UC Santa Barbara, holds numerous patents, and is a published author for the IEEE
