As Senior Vice President, Advanced Technology Group, and a member of Dolby Laboratories’ Executive Leadership Team, Steve led R&D teams worldwide involved in anticipating industry technology needs, creating innovative Image and Sound solutions to advance entertainment experiences, and helping shepherd those technology solutions to success in market. His leadership scope spanned many of Dolby’s most successful Image and Sound technology R&D programs and the company’s CTO function.
Throughout Steve’s nearly 40-year Dolby tenure he focused on advancing and expanding company technology expertise and innovation. He facilitated co-creation of product solutions with Dolby business leaders and supported company engagements with industry influencers, business partners and standards organizations. Dolby Laboratories was recognized by the Academy of Television Arts and Sciences with the Philo T. Farnsworth Corporate Achievement Award which Steve accepted on behalf of the company in October 2021.
Steve is a board member of Via Licensing, an independently managed subsidiary of Dolby Laboratories, Inc., and is a member of the Audio Engineering Society, the Society of Motion Picture and Television Engineers, and the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers. He holds a BSEE degree from the New Jersey Institute of Technology and an MBA degree from Saint Mary’s College of California.
