Honoree Bio
I am an autodidact who has been passionate about the professional media industry. Over the last 40 years, I had the opportunity to work at Sony Canada in the 80’s as an application specialist for the professional division. In the early 90’s I worked as a consultant in products design where I specialized in underwater video equipment and multimedia/broadcast equipment design. In the mid 90’s I joined Miranda Technologies as a designer.
I was the lead designer who did design what was the small SDI converter called Picolink. I also led the design team responsible for most of the Miranda modular platform. Currently working at Grass Valley with a role of system architect/product owner with-in the Network Group. I have been involved since 1990 with the SMPTE, by regularly presenting for the Montreal chapter, participating in standard committee, and since 3 years as Canadian region governor.
