Michael Ralla is a VFX Supervisor at Framestore’s Los Angeles office, having worked within advertising and feature film VFX for almost 20 years. His career has seen him traverse the globe, gaining invaluable experience from studios including Animal Logic, MPC, Digital Domain, and Industrial Light & Magic. Michael’s film credits include more than 50 features, he is currently working as additional VFX supervisor on an upcoming Marvel feature directly for the studio. At Framestore, Michael has supervised the VFX on major advertising and film projects for directors like Marc Forster and Spike Jonze, including Apple’s renowned HomePod short film “Welcome Home”, for which he won a D&AD Yellow Pencil, a Silver Clio, and a VES Award. Going all the way back to 2018, he is an early adopter of LED volume workflows and real-time virtual production. Ralla lives in Los Angeles with his family, is an avid surfer, enjoys photography and plays drums in his spare time.
