Registration will be located on the 5th Floor of the Ovation Hollywood, at the base of the stairs leading up to the Ray Dolby Ballroom.
Hours of Operation will be:
- Sunday, 20 Oct.: 4:00pm – 6:00pm
- Monday, 21 Oct.: 8:30pm – 5:30pm
- Tuesday, 22 Oct.: 8:30am – 7:30pm
- Wednesday, 23 Oct.: 8:30am – 5:30pm
- Thursday, 24 Oct.: 9:00am – 11:00am
Summit 2024 Special Rate Information
SPECIAL RATES
Hardship: SMPTE is pleased to extend a discount to individuals who are currently unemployed, furloughed, or otherwise experiencing financial difficulties. To apply for the Hardship rate, please email events@smpte.org with your contact details and hardship situation.
Student: Non-Member Student registrations require verification. Current SMPTE Student Members are automatically verified; however Non-Member Students must provide a valid, current Student ID. Non-Members will also receive a complimentary one-year Student membership.
Early Career: This year, SMPTE will extend a limited number of half-price registrations for Early Career Professionals - individuals in the first five years of a career in the industry, a transition into the industry, or a new sector of the industry. To apply for this discount, please click here.
Educator: Educator registrations require proof of school affiliation and will undergo a verification / moderation process.
Volunteer Opportunities are also available and include complimentary registration for all or part of the conference, depending on level of participation.

Fellows Induction Ceremony & Luncheon - Monday, 21 October
The 2024 class of SMPTE Fellows will be inducted at this annual luncheon. Due to capacity limits, this luncheon is only open to SMPTE Fellows and Life Fellows. Fellows will also be honored at the Awards Gala, which is open to all.

Live Practical ST 2110 Training - Thursday, 24 October
Join us at the conference for an exclusive training session on Practical ST 2110. This five-hour, hands-on course will empower you with the latest knowledge and skills to navigate your migration to IP in the evolving media landscape. The 2024 Awards Gala will celebrate our our newest Fellows and esteemed Award Recipients! The event includes Red Carpet Arrivals and Cocktails, Awards Ceremony, Gala Dinner and After Party! Please note that individual tickets are GENERAL ADMISSION, which means they do not have specific table assignments. Full Tables of 10 seats are also available for purchase and include assigned seating for your guests at a reserved table.

Registration Policies
DISCOUNT POLICY
Only one discount code may be used per registration on new registrations only. Registration discount codes are not valid on Speaker*, or Exhibitor* registrations. Discounts apply to registration packages only and not additional special event tickets. Cannot be applied to existing registrations.
*Complimentary registration discounts for Sustaining Members, Sponsors, or Exhibitors may be applied to any registration type.
CANCELLATION AND REFUND POLICY
A refund will be issued, less a 10% cancellation fee, for all paid registrations canceled by 23 September 2024. No refunds will be given for cancellation requests received after the deadline*; however, registrant substitutions may be made for a $25 fee plus any difference in Registrant Type pricing. New registrations received after the deadline are non-refundable.
* Refunds and cancellations related to international visa denials are not subject to this deadline and affected registrants will have their registration fees refunded in full. Additionally, registrants unable to travel to the show as a direct result of Government Action in response to COVID-19 are not subject to this deadline and affected registrants will have their registration fees refunded in full. Registrants unable to attend due to a positive COVID-19 test or exposure may be eligible for a partial refund. Please contact events@smpte.org for assistance.
